Theangela (Ancient Greek:Θεάγγελα) was a town ofancient Caria. Upon the conquest of Caria byAlexander the Great, he placed it under the jurisdiction ofHalicarnassus. It was birthplace ofPhilippus of Theangela, a 4th-century BCE historian.[1][2] It was apolis (city-state) and a member of theDelian League.[3] It was in asympoliteia withKildara andThodosa.[4]
Its site is located nearEtrim,Asiatic Turkey.[5][6]
