Thiyagarayanagar is thelegislative assembly constituency located in the southern part ofChennai district of the Indian state ofTamil Nadu. Its State Assembly Constituency number is 24. It is a part ofChennai South Lok Sabha constituency during national elections. Thiyagarayanagar has been in existence since the 1957 election. It currently coversT. Nagar and adjacent localities, such asPondy Bazaar,Kodambakkam,Ashok Nagar,K. K. Nagar,MGR Nagar,Vadapalani andWest Mambalam.[2] It is one of the 234 State Legislative Assembly Constituencies in Tamil Nadu.
