The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a themed area based on theHarry Potter series built atUniversal Destinations & Experiences'Universal Studios Japan theme park inOsaka, Japan. Not to be confused withWarner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter atLeavesden Studios, it is a collaboration ofUniversal Destinations & Experiences andWarner Bros. Entertainment. It opened to the public on July 15, 2014.
It contains theHarry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride and theFlight of the Hippogriff roller coaster that debuted at theWizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort in 2010. The village ofHogsmeade is also recreated.[1] Two features in the Japanese park not found in Orlando areHogwarts's Black Lake and live owls.[2]
