The Outpost (Hungarian:A részleg, internationally also known asThe Section) is a 1995 Hungariandrama film written and directed byPéter Gothár. It was screened in theUn Certain Regard section at the1995 Cannes Film Festival.[1] The film was selected as the Hungarian entry for theBest Foreign Language Film at the68th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.[2][3]
