The Madison neo-Western television series created byTaylor Sheridan . It is aspin-off of Sheridan's previous series,Yellowstone
The series follows the McIntosh family, originally from New York City, who live in theMadison River valley of central Montana.
Cast and characters [ edit ] In May 2023,Paramount Network green-lit an untitledYellowstone MTV Entertainment Studios ,Taylor Sheridan 's Bosque Ranch Productions, and 101 Studios serving as production companies. In August 2024, the series title was revealed asThe Madison [ 1] [ 2] Michelle Pfeiffer was announced to be starring in and executive producing the series.[ 3] [ 4]
By August 2025,Paramount Television Studios had taken over production of the series following the merger ofMTV Entertainment Studios ' parent companyParamount Global withSkydance Media intoParamount Skydance .[ 5]
Pfeiffer was announced as a cast member on August 8, 2024.[ 3] [ 4] Patrick J. Adams ,Beau Garrett ,Amiah Miller , andMatthew Fox were announced as cast members.[ 6] [ 7] Ben Schnetzer was announced as a cast member on October 15, 2024.[ 8] Kevin Zegers ,Rebecca Spence , Alaina Pollack, and Danielle Vasinova were announced as cast members on December 17, 2024.[ 9] [ 10] Kurt Russell was announced to have joined the cast on September 5, 2025.[ 11] [ 12]
Principal photography began in 2024.[ 9] New York City were filmed inDallas in mid-November 2024.[ 13] Fort Worth, Texas , in late November and lasted through mid-December 2024.[ 14] [ 15]
