The Human Dutch (Dutch:Alleman,lit.'everyman') is a 1963 Dutchdocumentary film directed byBert Haanstra, about the daily lives of people inthe Netherlands. It was a big success in the Netherlands with almost 1.7 million admissions, the thirdmost successful Dutch film at the time.[1] It was nominated for anAcademy Award forBest Documentary Feature.[2][3] It was also selected as the Dutch entry for theBest Foreign Language Film at the37th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.[4]
