On May 2024, Silverback Films first announced that the 'next iteration' ofLife on Our Planet will be a four-part miniseries focused on the 'rise and fall of the dinosaurs' spanning 170 million years by the same production team.[1] The title of the series was first revealed on January 2026, and the release date of the series was tentatively scheduled to be the first quarter of 2026.[2] On February 5, 2026, Netflix released the official trailer for the series, which was marketed as the spiritual successor toLife on Our Planet.[3][4]
