The Crash Lucha Libre, also referred to as simplyThe Crash, is alucha libre (Mexicanprofessional wrestling)promotion based inTijuana, Baja California,Mexico. The promotion largely runs its events in Tijuana,Mexico City, andMonterrey. The promotion currently has working relationships with American promotionsDEFY Wrestling,[1]PCW Ultra,[2] Mexico'sInternational Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) and Promociones MDA, and China'sOriental Wrestling Entertainment. The Crash previously had a working relationship with America'sImpact Wrestling, Mexico'sLucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) and Japan'sPro Wrestling Noah between 2016 and 2018,[3] untilKonnan, the intermediary between the promotions, left The Crash.[4][5][6][7][8] On February 21, 2019 The Crash announced a partnership with Mexico'sConsejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), America'sRing of Honor and Japan'sNew Japan Pro-Wrestling, although that which would come to an end the following September.[9] On August 12, 2019,Major League Wrestling and The Crash Lucha Libre announced a working relationship which ended in November of that year whenMajor League Wrestling would work full time with AAA.[10]

The Crash is considered the fourth largest professional wrestling promotion in Mexico after the much older CMLL, AAA and IWRG promotions[11] and has been touted as the fastest growinglucha libre company in the world.[1] The promotion uses wrestlers from the Mexican and Americanindependent circuit, notably wrestlers fromPro Wrestling Guerrilla. On April 6, 2018, The Crash held its first independently promoted show in the United States at The Sugar Mill inNew Orleans,Louisiana.[12]
