The Cincinnati Herald is anAfrican-American newspaper published each Wednesday by Sesh Communications inCincinnati, Ohio, United States. TheHerald's offices are located in theAvondale neighborhood. Sister publications includeThe Dayton Defender,The Northern Kentucky Herald, andSeshPrime Magazine, a monthly magazine for African-Americans.[1]
TheHerald was founded in 1955 by Gerald Porter.[2] When Porter died in 1963, his wife Marjorie Parham assumed control of the paper. In 1996, Parham sold the paper to Sesh Communications, a partnership betweenEric Kearney,Jan-Michele Lemon, Wilton Blake, and Ronda Gooden.[1]
