Tran finished in fifth place on the28th season ofThe Bachelor Joey Graziadei . She is the firstAsian-American and the first practicingBuddhist in the lead role in the history of theBachelor franchise.[ 3] [ 4]
The season concluded on September 3, 2024, with Tran and her final choice, 28-year-old freight company owner Devin Strader, proposing to each other. However, during the liveAfter the Final Rose special, Tran revealed that Strader broke up with her in August 2024.[ 5]
Casting and contestants [ edit ] On March 25, 2024, Tran was announced as the Bachelorette by previous leadCharity Lawson during theAfter the Final Rose special of the28th season ofThe Bachelor [ 3] Daisy Kent and Maria Georgas were also considered for the role.[ 6]
Notable contestants include Aaron Erb, who is the twin brother ofseason 16 andBachelor in Paradise 7 Iowa Barnstormers in theIndoor Football League .[ 7] [ 8]
Filming and development [ edit ] Filming began on March 28, 2024, at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch inSanta Susana, California . This was previously the filming location forThe Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart season 18 that did not start at the traditional Bachelor mansion inAgoura Hills, California .[ 9] Chihuly Garden and Glass ,Pike Place Market ,Pioneer Square , andSpace Needle inSeattle, Washington .[ 10]
This season also includes visits toMelbourne, Australia andAuckland, New Zealand , with filming concluding inKailua-Kona, Hawaii in mid-May.[ 11]
