TheThanesar Pathar Mosque, also known as thePathar Masjid, is a formermosque and now historical monument, located inThanesar, in the state ofHaryana,India. Believed to be built in 17th century, the mosque is located in theKurukshetra district and is aMonument of National Importance.[1][2]
The mosque was completed in the 17th century, during the reign ofJahangir.[3] It is a small building made out of redsandstone[3] in theMughal architecture style. The fluted minarets are attached to the back walls. The ceiling that rests on pillars is decorated by carved floral designs. It is situated near thetomb of Sheikh Chilli.[4]
