Teruo Murakami (村上 輝夫,Murakami Teruo; 1938 – 17 December 2013)[1] was an internationaltable tennis player fromJapan.

Table tennis career

From 1959 to 1961, he won several medals in singles, doubles, and team events at both theWorld Table Tennis Championships and theAsian Table Tennis Championships.[2]

His four World Championship medals[3][4] included twogold medals in the doubles withIchiro Ogimura at the1959 World Table Tennis Championships and team event at the1959 World Table Tennis Championships.[5][6]

He also won twoEnglish Open titles.[citation needed]
