Terry Dyson (born 29 November 1934) is a retiredfootballer who played as awinger.[2]
Dyson was spotted playing football for the British Army duringNational Service[1] After being demobbed in 1955 he joinedTottenham Hotspur from non-leagueScarborough. Dyson played his first match for Tottenham againstSheffield United in March 1955.[3] He played for the North London club until 1965. He was a regular member of theDouble-winning side of1960–61, scoring in theFA Cup Final againstLeicester. Dyson was also a member of the team that won the1962–63 European Cup Winners' Cup, scoring twice in thefinal againstAtlético Madrid. He made a total of 209 appearances and scored 55 goals for Tottenham.
He later played forFulham,Colchester United,Wealdstone andGuildford City. Dyson is the only Spurs player to score ahat-trick in theNorth London derby, doing so on 26 August 1961 in a 4–3 win for Spurs.[4]

Dyson works part-time forthe Football Association, assessing schoolboy matches, and lives inMiddlesex. Dyson is the uncle of EnglishgolferSimon Dyson.[6]
