TheTerradyne Armored Vehicles Gurkha (orTerradyne Gurkha for short) is a tactical armored vehicle built by Ontario-based company Terradyne Armored Vehicles Inc. The Gurkha is available in three different variants, and are built on aFord F-550 Super Duty chassis, as well as sharing the same engine and interior.
The Gurkha was developed in 2005 byArmet Armored Vehicles .[ 1] [ 2] Gurkhas , Nepali soldiers who serve in the Nepal Army, Indian Army and British Army.
Terradyne incorporated in August 2011 as a subsidiary of Magna International. In 2014, Terradyne became a privately owned company with no changes to staff or location.[citation needed
Civilian Gurkhas can be Purchased in the U.S. from P1 Miami in Miami, Fl and directly from Terradyne for Canadian buyers.[ 3]
