
Templenoe (Irish:An Teampall Nua, meaning 'new church')[1] is acivil parish inCounty Kerry,Ireland. It is situated four miles fromKenmare, on theN70 road toSneem, which forms part of theRing of Kerry.
Templenoe is the location of the Ring of Kerry golf club.[2] There is aGaelic Athletic Association ground, apier, and aCatholicchapel of ease for the Kenmare parish.Dromore Castle,Dunkerron Castle andDromquinna House are located in the area.
Templenoe GAA is the localGaelic Athletic Association club. TheGaelic football playing brothers of theCounty Kerry team,Pat Spillane, Mick Spillane andTom Spillane, were each born in Templenoe.[3]
