Why is Bush here?

[edit]

It seems a little out of place to include here, considering it's just been Argos/Sainsbury's in-house electronics brand for the last 15 or so years, and the only phone's they've released seem to be rebadged white-label/ODM phones (judging by from comparing images and inthe comments of a GSMArena article that at least one of their Windows Phone models shares a design with the Archos Cesium 50, which might also be ODM, but I'm not 100% sure).

The brand on it's own probably doesn't meet the notability criteria enough to be included alongside $Billion+ companies like Apple, Samsung, and Google, at least not here.

Does it really count as "Major" because someone's parent's might've bought an Android tablet from Argos five years ago? If anything, whichever company is manufacturing them on behalf of Argos/Sainsburys should be the one mentioned.

The only other reason I could see is them previously being a larger domestic player in the UK radio industry, and RCA is also listed here but only because it's name is licensed by TCL on some products in the US, not as an independent company (which hasn't existed since the mid 1980's).

The only reasoning could be that their parent company (Sainsbury's) makes technically over $3Bn in revenue per year, but at that stage, you might as well also include Walmart's in-house Onn brand, or all the random companies selling rebadged products on Amazon, AliExpress etc...Datboi73 (talk)14:56, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
