Note

[edit]

Just as a note, I hope this will be as useful to others as it is to me. I created this because of the common issue I have in searching and finding shows. Since PBS has one, I decided to make one for History, and I intend to make them for a few other channels too.

Error questions

[edit]

When I clicked on theview, edit, anddiscuss links, they direct to{{navbox/doc}}. I barely know how to fix templates like this. Can someone please fix this? Can I rename this template to lowercase{{history shows}}?If shows, likeUFO Hunters andMonsterQuest, no longer originally air new episodes, should they be put under "Past Shows"?serioushat00:57, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I'm still working on it. --Mooshykris (talk)01:19, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

One important thing in my goal is this, I am making the box only for actual TV Shows and major media events. The reasoning, there are countless one shot specials, which usually don't even have articles, as they are not noteworthy. I am trying to compile a list completely from actual shows that recur with episode, and the muli-part special events like WWII in HD and America: The Story of Us.

Fixed

[edit]

I've just now finished adding every major show I that's aired, I believe.

Requesting WikiProject Review

[edit]

I'm just placing there here, because I would like some members of the Television WikiProject to review this, I hope this will be useful to many people!

Visible template name

[edit]

I've added 'channel' to the title in lower-case (to differentiate from 'History Channel' in upper-case, the channel's previous and better known name). For the template to be named 'History programming' is misleading in terms of what can be listed on it, and doesn't denote or accurately reflect the exclusivity of the 'History programming', which is limited to the 'History' channel.Randy Kryn 11:32 28 January, 2015 (UTC)

Why is a production company being promoted?

[edit]

Shows by one production company are being set apart in this template. I don't see any purpose for this other than to create a pretext to link prominently to the company's WP article. I am changing it back. -FIPAR (talk)18:24, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
