I have modified the code giving it what I think are two improvements:

1. By setting an optional parameter this template can now be used as a navigational footnote template. The parameter isbar=yes
2. I made the list at the side collapse. This will stop this template overwhelming stub or start articles, and it will allow the more accurate placement of images in larger ones.
