This template is used to tag pages for speedy deletion under thespeedy deletion criteria. There is a separate template for each criterion – see the table to the right. This template is namespace-specific: in categories, it calls{{db-c1}}, and everywhere else it calls{{db-a3}}.
If this template is used on a category, it places the page intoCategory:Empty categories awaiting deletion, and then also intoCandidates for speedy deletion seven days after it is tagged. If it is used anywhere else, it places the page in the categoryCandidates for speedy deletion as empty articles andCandidates for speedy deletion immediately.
The template should be placed at the top of the page to be deleted.
