Temitayo Ibitoye, popularly known asTee-Y Mix is aNigerianmusic executive, and board member of Dapper Group.[1][2][3] He is widely known for producingNaeto C's major hit "Kini Big Deal", which earned him a nomination atThe Headies forProducer of the Year in 2009.[4] He also served as anA&R executive,sound engineer andprimary producer, onNaeto C's debut studio albumU Know My "P", which was released in 2008. Following his departure from Storm 360, he founded Vivace Records in 2014 and is the Chief Executive Officer.[5]
As asound engineer, he was credited for mixingDavido's "Gobe", "Aye", "Skelewu" fromQueen of KatweSoundtrack album,D'Banj's "Don't Tell Me Nonsense" fromD'Kings Men compilation album,Dr SID's "Surulere" from SID's second studio albumSiduction album, andPraiz's "Mercy" from hisdouble studio albumRich & Famous [Famous]. As atelevision personality, he was a judge onProject Fame West Africa from 2008 to 2016.[6] On 17 October 2023, Dapper Damm named him Vice President of Dapper Group.[1]
Temitayo Ibitoye is a native ofOndo State. He was born on 22 August 1983 inOyo State and grew up betweenKaduna andAbuja.[7] He is an alumnus of the University of Abuja where he graduated with a degree inComputer science. He got his diploma inAudio Recording Engineering from theAudio Institute of America[8]
On 3 August 2012, Tee-Y Mix produced the Hennessy Artistry theme song "Bartender" byM.I andNaeto C forHennessy.[9] On 14 January 2022, he released his first official single "Closer".[10] The song features guest vocals fromOxlade andMoelogo.
In 2008, Tee-Y Mix appeared as one of three judges for the reality television music competition showProject Fame West Africa. Tee-Y Mix, along with fellow judgesAdé Bantu and Bibie Brew,[11] evaluated thousands of amateur contestants in their ability to sing. Tee-Y Mix won praise as a sympathetic and compassionate judge. In 2020, he was also a judge on the pilot season of Access the stars music TV reality show.[12][13][14]
In 2014 Tee-Y Mix launched his record label Vivace Records.[15]Artist signed to Vivace Records.
