Taylor McLam is an Americanmulti-instrumentalist, musiccomposer andrecord producer. He has composed music for more than 300 advertisements for brands includingVerizon,Chrysler,Mitsubishi, Cotton,Visa,Miller Lite,Sears,Lego,McDonald's andCoca-Cola.[1]
In the 1990s, McLam was a member of the bandOrange 9mm and contributed his song "Failure" to their 1996 albumTragic, which was released onAtlantic Records.[2] WithOrange 9mm, McLam played theWarped Tour in 1995, 1996 and 1997 and toured with bands includingThe Deftones,The Misfits andKid Rock.[3]
After parting ways with Orange 9mm, McLam co-wrote the bonus track "Jungle in the Circus" for the 2008Gavin Rossdale album,Wanderlust,[4] released onInterscope Records. In 2010, McLam scored the independent filmChlorine, directed byJay Alaimo and starringKyra Sedgwick andVincent D'Onofrio.[5] He is also a co-writer of the theme song to the children's show,Pinky Dinky Doo,[6] on theNick Jr. Channel.
McLam currently serves as Creative Director for Music Beast inNew York City.[citation needed]
