Tayasan (Cebuano:Lungsod sa Tayasan;Tagalog:Bayan ng Tayasan), officially theMunicipality of Tayasan, is amunicipality in theprovince ofNegros Oriental,Philippines. According to the 2024 census, it has a population of 39,005 people.[5]
Tayasan is 90 kilometres (56 mi) fromDumaguete.
Tayasan is politically subdivided into 28barangays. Each barangay consists ofpuroks and some havesitios.
