Tatishchevsky District (Russian:Татищевский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of thethirty-eight inSaratov Oblast,Russia. It is located in the center of theoblast. The area of the district is 2,100 square kilometers (810 sq mi).[3] Itsadministrative center is theurban locality (awork settlement) ofTatishchevo.[2] Population: 28,405 (2010 Census);[4]29,506 (2002 census);[9]36,502 (1989 Soviet census).[10] The population of Tatishchevo accounts for 26.4% of the district's total population.[4]

Military

The60th Rocket Division ofStrategic Missile Forces is based on the district's territory, as well as theTatishchevo airbase, with 69UR-100NUTTH and 40Topol-M.
