Tatebayashi Station (館林駅,Tatebayashi-eki) is a junction passengerrailway station in the city ofTatebayashi, Gunma, Japan, operated by theprivate railway operatorTōbu Railway.

Lines

Tatebayashi Station is served by theTōbu Isesaki Line, and is located 74.6 km from the line's Tokyo terminus atAsakusa.[1] It is also the terminal station for theTōbu Koizumi Line andTōbu Sano Line.

History

The station opened asNakano Station (中野駅) on 27 August 1907.[1] It was renamed Tatebayashi on 1 March 1937.[1]

From 17 March 2012, station numbering was introduced on all Tōbu lines, with Tatebayashi Station becoming "TI-10".[2]

In fiscal 2019, the station was used by an average of 11,046 passengers daily (boarding passengers only).[3]
