Tarron Jackson (born June 22, 1998) is an American professionalfootballdefensive end for theSan Francisco 49ers of theNational Football League (NFL). He playedcollege football atCoastal Carolina.
Jackson grew up inNew Ellenton, South Carolina and attendedSilver Bluff High School. He was named All-Area by theAiken Standard as a senior after recording 79 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and five sacks.[1]
Jackson suffered a season-ending injury four games into his freshman year and used a medical redshirt. He played in the first eight games of his redshirt freshman season before again suffering a season-ending injury and finished the year with 3.5 sacks and a forced fumble.[2] As a redshirt sophomore Jackson started all 12 of the Chanticleers' games and recorded 58 tackles with 11 tackles for loss and three sacks and was named third team All-Sun Belt Conference.[3][4] He was named first team All-Sun Belt as a redshirt junior after setting a school record with ten sacks along with 60 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.[5] Jackson recorded 54 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks and three forced fumbles in his redshirt senior season and was named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year, first team All-Conference, and a first teamAll-American by theAssociated Press.[6][7]

Jackson was selected in the sixth round with the 191st overall pick of the2021 NFL draft by thePhiladelphia Eagles.[9] Jackson got his first careersack in Week 8 at theDetroit Lions.
On October 27, 2022, Jackson was waived by the Eagles and re-signed to thepractice squad. On February 15, 2023, Jackson signed a reserve/future contract with the Eagles.[10]
On August 29, 2023, Jackson was waived as part of final roster cuts.[11] The next day, he re-signed to the team's practice squad.[12][13] He signed a reserve/future contract on January 18, 2024.[14] He was waived on August 27.[15]
On August 29, 2024, Jackson was signed to theCarolina Panthers practice squad.[16] He was promoted to the active roster on September 19.[17] Jackson was waived on October 15.[18]
On November 7, 2024, the Philadelphia Eagles signed Jackson to their practice squad.[19] He was released by Philadelphia on December 31.[20]
On January 2, 2025, theSan Francisco 49ers signed Jackson to their practice squad.[21] He signed a reserve/future contract on January 6, 2025.[22]
