Tariq Mansoor (born 20 September 1956) is an Indian academic and professor, who served as the vice-chancellor of theAligarh Muslim University in India from 17 May 2017 to 2 April 2023.[1][2] He is presently a nominated member ofUttar Pradesh Legislative Council by theBharatiya Janata Party on 3 April 2023. He was also a member ofPadma award committee 2023.[1]
He was previously a professor at theJawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh in the Department of Surgery.[3][4]
After the release of BBC documentary namedIndia: The Modi Question, Mansoor criticized theBBC for its "agenda-driven journalism".[5]
