Tanglewood Forest is a neighborhood of southernAustin, Texas that was formerly its owncensus-designated place inTravis County,[1] active as of the1990 U.S. census.[2]
It was formerly governed from amunicipal utility district. In 1997 the city of Austin announced it was annexing Tanglewood Forest.[3]

It is in theAustin Independent School District. Kocurek Elementary School is the local elementary.[3]
Headwaters School (formerly Khabele School) Creek Campus is in Tanglewood Forest.[4]
