Tamarite de Litera (Catalan:Tamarit de Llitera), is the first major town of thecomarca ofLa Litera in the province ofHuesca,Aragon, Spain. It is the capital of thecomarca ofLa Litera.
The town was reconquered from theMoors byAlfonso I of Aragon in 1107.
