Talkback Productions , commonly simplified to justTalkback (formerly known asTalkback-UK from 2003 to 2006), was aBritish television production company established in 1981 by comedy duoMel Smith andGriff Rhys Jones .[ 1]
Talkback was sold toPearson Television in 2000.[ 2] The company merged withThames Television in 2003 and the combined entity was renamedTalkback Thames . On 1 January 2012, Talkback Thames was split into four separate production companies;Boundless ,Retort ,Talkback andThames .[ 3]
On 16 September 2024, it was announced that Talkback would be merged again with Thames to re-form Talkback Thames following the managing director Jonno Richards exiting Talkback.[ 4]
