It is unusual for an article of this type and much of it is not sourced. Based on the archive concerns seem to have been raised about it in the past.Llewee (talk)13:06, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
"The professionalisation of scientific study began in parts of Europe following theFrench Revolution but was slow to reach Britain."
Britain had a period of extensive scientific research and studies in the 17th and 18th centuries through theScientific Revolution. TheRoyal Society is the oldest continuously existing scientific academy in the world. It would have been better to clarify the term "professionalisation of scientific study" to give more context to the reader. Currently, the sentence feels too abrupt as an introduction to the section "Knowledge and Infrastructure".Inlin (talk)20:44, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
When using the search box, the sentence under "Victorian era" has a typo, stating "Historical period in Britian from 1837 to 1901".2001:14BA:47C:3C00:DDB:D567:1476:5A91 (talk)09:24, 3 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
