We have found Matthew's motive. So please correct "Motive - unknown"; to:

defend Rachel's honour: "Trump accuser keeps telling her story, hoping someone will finally listen"

Not done: please providereliable sources that support the change you want to be made. There is nothing that I can see in the WaPo link that talks about Thomas Matthew Crooks or his motive.LizardJr8 (talk)16:33, 7 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

To add to article

[edit]

In an effort to help make this article more properly encyclopedic, should we add a few words about this to this article?

I thought the donation to A Act Blue was made by someone with the same name, but in his 60s. Wasn’t that information falsely reported in the early days?2601:8C0:C88:AAD0:C08F:FF3:A46:36FF (talk)04:19, 19 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Crooks political affiliation

[edit]

This synopsis incorrectly lists Crooks political affiliation as Democratic. In fact, Crooks was a registered Republican2601:1C2:801:10A0:E54F:601C:3F0F:65B (talk)13:51, 14 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The article I see says he registered as a Republican. I don't see the problem.signed,Willondon (talk)14:08, 14 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Article should state 'allegedly' since Crooks was never convicted of a crime.
Thomas Matthew Crooks (September 20, 2003 – July 13, 2024) was an American man who attempted to assassinate then-former U.S. president Donald Trump, who at the time was the presumptive Republican Party nominee for the 2024 presidential election2607:FB92:1886:34FF:4D79:676F:6063:A1E8 (talk)23:59, 15 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Corey D. Comperatore

[edit]

Shouldn't this article pay its respects to the man killed by this shooter? The victim was 50 year old Corey D. Comperatore of Sarver, PA.2600:4808:A331:8D01:11B:6190:CCDE:C052 (talk)17:39, 14 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The article mentions it, as sources have covered it. Otherwise, Wikipedia's purpose is not paying respects. It's an encyclopedia.signed,Willondon (talk)17:53, 14 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Crooks's Possible Gab Account Should Be Mentioned

[edit]
Thisedit request has been answered. Set the|answered= parameter tono to reactivate your request.

The Gab account possibly belonging to Crooks should be mentioned in the article, especially considering it was mentioned by Abbate, and the article already describes a different social media account possibly belonging to Crooks which was also brought to light by Abbate.

Here is aTIME article mentioning this Gab account. (TIME is considered reliable underWikipedia:Reliable_sources/Perennial_sources.)

https://time.com/6998557/thomas-matthew-crooks-trump-rally-shooter-fbi-motive

This quote from that TIME article is relevant to what I'm talking about.

"Abbate also said the FBI is verifying a Gab account supposedly linked to Crooks but with “differing points of view” from the other account. Andrew Torba, CEO of Gab, a platform popular among the far-right, said on X that the account associated with Crooks was “unequivocally” in favor of President Biden."Star VV Cephei A (talk)02:57, 16 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a"change X to Y" format and provide areliable source if appropriate. If you would like content to be added to the article, please provide the exact text of your proposed addition.Day Creature (talk)16:45, 16 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ronny Jackson's nephew

[edit]

Ronny Jackson's claim that his nephew was injured by gunfire is something that has only been claimed and supported by himself, no official report has detailed his nephew as a victim in the attack. Unless there's official word about a 4th person injured via gunfire, I think we should probably remove mention of Ronny Jackson's nephew (if not from the whole article, at least from the infobox).TheFellaVB (talk)14:27, 23 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
