How can the show have been cancelled if it hasn't been producing new episodes (or wraparounds) for years? When it went to the Cartoon Network, did that mean that is was resurrected? There's also a throwaway line at the bottom which states "According to the writers of this article, there are no plans to bring the show back." Unless theres a source, a person can't write "According to what I've heard, this show ain't going to see the light of day."
The show was cancelled because Time-Warner decreed that all Warner Bros. cartoons would thenceforth be seen only on Cartoon Network (quite possibly the condition on which Time-Warner acquired Ted Turner's empire in the first place). A show doesn't need to produce new episodes to be cancelled. All it has to do is be dropped by its network.

When I helped edit the article in 2006, I put "According to the writers of this article, there are no plans to bring the show back to television as of 2006". Have there been any other discussions amongst the WB execs to actually bring the show back in any way. This article is far from being ready to be GA, or even B. It has been reassessed to start. I strongly suggest applying both the TV and Wikipedia MOSs, fixing the bad referencing, and expanding it to include the major sections for a television series. I'd also recommend a peer review before renominating.

40 seasons? umm where on earth did you get that # from? That show did not have even close to 40 seasons. That would mean it would mean this show has at least 800 episodes. 20 episodes a season at 40 seasons is 800—Precedingunsigned comment added by68.32.31.254 (talk)23:52, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to add to this article an additional heading for the article titled "Bugs Bunny in the DVD AGE'. In this new section I wish to point out that although Warner Brothers have releases some of the former Looney Tunes on DVD in small themed compilation DVDs around some of its key Looney Tunes characters as well as a Box set of 'some' of the cartoons out of the library of the Bugs Bunny Show (mixing all eras of bugs) tittled 'Looney Tunes Golden Collection', they are yet to release a complete series of the cartoons from the 1960s. I raise this point with former Wikipedia contributors of this article first out of respect for your former work, before proceeding with this edit and ask for your support for this inclusion. I was wondering if you agree with me that something needs to be stated in this wiki entry regarding the many missing episodes for the DVD generation. It seems a great loss that these much loved episodes are not available yet less popular cartoon series of the same era are available as full collections. Does anyone else find this odd? The article need to make more clear when the show was first run in prime time as the prime time series the premier of the new bridge materal as I under stand Jerry Beck's post on this cartoon search articlehttp://cartoonresearch.com/index.php/wanted-the-bugs-bunny-show-2/ and in hisLooney Tunes and Merrie Melodies: A Complete Illustrated Guide to the Warner Bros.
