Task list

--I think calling it corruption may have unwarranted negative connotations. For the people of Cuba, this is a way to try and get around the horrible restrictions placed upon them by an oppressive regime. It may be better phrased— Precedingunsigned comment added by173.70.221.144 (talk)18:02, 21 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have to confess that I have never heard this term. Do we have any sources apart from the one article by Gary ?

I think we have lost some of the explanation of the word - we need to mention "socio".

There is another reference on the page, Beardo, see[1]. And many more on the net. This article talks about it -[2]. This page mentions a paper called "Sociolismo and Socialism".[3] This article states "the contrast in Cuba between the official socialist system and the unofficial, who-you-know method of getting things done (called sociolismo, from the term socio, 'buddy')"[4]. This article talks about socialismo - "the buddy system"[5]. Etc etc.--Zleitzen09:19, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Great - now we need to get some more of the refs into the article. --Beardo11:06, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
