Can someone with access to Jane's confirm the ship's full load displacement? It's gone back and forth several times between 11,490 and 12,490, often with unexplained IP edits. At least one of our sources (BBC?) says 12,490, which I suspect is correct. This also needs to be fixed atSlava-class cruiser.GA-RT-22 (talk)22:15, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Have the coordinates of the ship sinking been made public? If known, they should be added to the article, especially since Ukraine has declared the area a cultural heritage site?N2e (talk)00:45, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm just a bystander, but I agree with the revert. You deleted a key element of the event, the "go fuck yourself" portion with citation. It was important enough that they made a stamp for it, which is shown in the section. So yes, it added key context that is needed in the article. It might be crude or offensive to some, butWP:Wikipedia isn't censored.Dennis Brown -2¢23:59, 4 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It is not censoring of information. It is removal of unimportant detail. How does that "go fuck yourself portion" of the event add value to the article about Moskova? How are details of that even important to an article about Moskova?. You might argue that the event might be important enough to have it's own article. That would be the place where details such as these should be put. The sources for such events could be considered biased as well (since this war has polarized the world). I would be happy to consider a non-biased source (was this reported from a russian source?). But until then, to me, this seems like an attempt to influencing an article for a particular point of view. The unbiasness of the article must be priortized before enforcing inclusion of information.Digimanpk (talk)06:39, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The fact that the government issued a "go fuck yourself" stamp (shown in article), and it sparked a meme that still endures, enough to create the articleRussian warship, go fuck yourself here on Wikipedia (with over 70 citations), clearly demonstrates it wasn't an incidental comment, and was in fact, an enduring call to arms for the Ukrainian people. That is why it isrequired for context in this article, and not just "acceptable use". If you want to add a better sources, that other article might be a good place to start.Dennis Brown -2¢00:17, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
