ActivelyDisinterested, I see that you have reverted my edit (which in itself was a revert) removing "war criminal" from Karadzic's title on the article header. I am confused in your application of MOS:CRIMINAL here. An example directly contained within states;
Booth was a noted actor of his day, but his theatrical fame is far eclipsed by his notoriety as an assassin.
Similarly, while Karadzic's conviction by the ICTY recieved far more coverage than his unrelated acts as president of RS;
When the crime is central to a person's notability, it can be introduced immediately after establishing who they are or were:
My edit complies with MOS:CRIMINAL in that it retains the part of the opening paragraph that states that he was convicted of various crimes by the ICTY. Thank you.Srpska1992 (talk)10:39, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Mentioning convictions nod someone who is notable for convictions is entirely appropriate, for instance it would be complete nonsense to not mention that the Kray twins were criminals inKray twins. Karadžić is a convicted war criminal and not linking to the context of that crime is little more than whitewashing. --LCUActivelyDisinterested«@» °∆t°12:39, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Greetings, and thank you for the speedy response. You still have yet to address my point regardingMOS:CRIMINAL. For example, onMary Kay Letourneau's page, she is addressed as a "teacher" despite being exclusively and only known for her crimes. As well as this, the examples cited directly on theMOS:CRIMINAL page take precedent here as well. Also, for future reference, please do not revert my change and attempt to editwar until discussion on the topic in its talkpage has closed. Thank you.Srpska1992 (talk)12:52, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
