As in the case of, for example,Gabby Hayes, all print reference guides as well as his on-screen credits, always used the appellationGeorge "Gabby" Hayes and that is how the article is titled, not simply,Gabby Hayes. Here, also, the subject is always referred to asSylvester "Pat" Weaver orSylvester (Pat) Weaver, never simply asSylvester Weaver [also the name of a music personality with his own article] orPat Weaver. Although we generally avoid using symbols in titles and expect most users to use the simple route of typingGabby Hayes andPat Weaver, redirects will still enable those typing all possible variations to reach their target. A strong argument can be also made for going in the opposite direction and using well-known stage names as main title headers,Major Bowes, notEdward Bowes orMoose Charlap, notMark Charlap. This link to IMDb will show its reference asSylvester L. Weaver Jr. andthis link to theEncyclopedia of Television will show its reference asWeaver, Sylvester (Pat)—Roman Spinner(talk)22:07, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
