Can someone explain what the difference between a mesonic molecule and a tetraquark is?— Precedingunsigned comment added by138.246.23.212 (talkcontribs)16:14, 7 November 2009‎ (UTC)[reply]

a mesonic molecule is an object composed of mesons bound together with aresidual strong force. A tetraquark is a hadron composed of four quarks bound together directly, and not as a pair of mesons. There is no implication that there're only 4 quarks in a mesonic molecule. --70.24.250.235 (talk)10:45, 13 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
