At nearly 100kb in size this page is far too big for wikipedia: can it not be broken down into smaller portions? --Graham ☺ |Talk 00:42, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Most of the data here will be removed in the editing process so the finished page will be much smaller. The Singing Badger 00:59, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Yes, but I don't know if it will go down below the mandated limit. The 3000-4000 page won't be getting any smaller, for instance, and it's at 44K. If we're going to split these into 500's, then it should be done before we convert any more of them.Alfvaen 02:34, Dec 11, 2004 (UTC)
Too true, I guess I was being over-optimistic... :)The Singing Badger 17:22, 11 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Asteroid 1853 McElroy was not named after Harvard's Michael McElroy orDouglas Boyd McElroy, who is probably me. It was named after WilliamDavid McElroy who was, of all things, a biologist at Johns Hopkins aroundthe time of discovery. I will update.Bigmac31 (talk)20:11, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
