according to Italian law, any newspaper has to have a "responsible editor", i.e. a professional journalist (inscribed in the "Albo dei giornalisti")who takes legal responsibility for what's written in the newspaper.

In early days, since no one of the people writing on "Lotta Continua" at the time was a professional reporter, there was the practice that "intellectuals" from the left -but not only- (such as e.g. Pio Baldelli and PP Pasolini), who were inscribed in the "Albo dei giornalisti" would "lend their name" so that the newspaper could be published.

Pasolini was very far from sharing "Lotta Continua's" political positions. In those years, he was close to the PCI, and expressed his views mostly on the "Corriere della Sera". It is not appropriate to list him as an "editor" without explaining this particular situation.Giordaano13:14, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pannella was never connected with Lotta Continua. Marco history came from liberal right, Lotta Continua was a marxist movement. See please Lotta Continua e Marco Pannella on it.wikipedia.org.pardon my bad english. I wrote one year and a half for a little newspaper in Verona, e learned a bit. Giordano is clear for the position of the responsible editor in front of the law. Porno magazine used to have a journalist acting as "responsible editor" for money. "Lotta Continua (the struggle continues, or continuous struggle) ..."

I'm a native speaker of Italian. "Lotta continua" can only mean "continuous struggle". "Continua" can't be a verb, here: "the struggle continues" would be "LA lotta continua", with the definite article before the noun "lotta".
