I added the few dozen saints listedhere. The information in this source may conflict with information in the saints' articles. This source includes canonization date, saint name, date of death, and the canonizing pope.davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail)03:35, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
when adding birth and death dates. Thank you. --Dharion (talk)10:41, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I am proposing to mergeList of saints by pope with this article. They both are duplicate of each other. --Jayarathina (talk)16:43, 29 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
For many months, I was updatingList of Catholic saints with information fromList of canonizations since it appears to be the most complete.I do like the wikitable format withinList of saints by pope
In addition, there are these individual canonization lists:
Stepping back and looking at "the big picture", for the average Wikipedia reader, what might be easiest and complete would be an article/list witha sortable (all columns) Wikitable like this:
| Saint name | Birth date | Death date | Pope canonized by | Canonization date |
To prevent the table from becoming HUGE, it might be broken apart by century likeList of Popes for example.—JoeHebda • (talk)13:45, 3 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
While I am no expert for coding wikitables, I did "clone" some ofList of saints canonized by Pope Paul VI, the first few of the 21 saints that he canonized.

Hey all, in light of the merge dicussions, I started a table from the beginning.
Some notes: When dates were unknown, I left them blank. If saints were called "blabla of someplace" I had the table sort by their given name rather than the place. I also included a notes column since it looks like some of the other articles to be merged in included some notes. Thoughts? It'd be great if several people could contribute. Is there some way we'd like to split the table? Centuries were proposed. If others could contribute that'd be great. We could either start building the table in the article or build it here and move it over. Thoughts?Ajpolino (talk)02:15, 20 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

* Recommend – To help "get the job done" I think we should simplify this wikitable with less columns. Then the list will be more consistent with these two:
If the reader needs more information from the list there is the wikilink to that person's article. Regards,—JoeHebda • (talk)17:17, 20 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
* Redirect this article to comprehensiveList of saints so there is one central place to maintain.—JoeHebda • (talk)17:28, 20 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
