If memory serves wasnt Irbid the location of where the PLO set up their defacto state during the 1970 civil war? If so that seems to be a major history point to add?
The original writer of this article does not seem to be a native English speaker i.e. no 's where ownership is implied in addition to word choice, order, and general setup.TALK•QRC2006•¢ʘñ†®¡ß§22:12, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the flag... if the article still needs more CE work, an interested editor may want to add it to the article itself, perhaps? :)sinneed (talk)22:44, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
130 internet cafes within one km??? Really?Jessicapierce04:13, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
"Although the number of academic institutions is high in the city, it is still lacking the cooperation between the universities and the different economical sects for research and development. As indicated by the no presence of any effective research and development center existing in Irbid."
I dropped this pair of sentences, it seems to be a push to get an R&D center for Irbid. It would need sourcing and relevance, I should think, to be readded. I won't kill it again if someone disagrees, but I will tag it.sinneed (talk)22:50, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I won't delete it again if it is readded, but it really should be possible to source it.
", while being less affected by the urbanization and growth that have impacted larger cities such asAmman.[citation needed]"
and"University Street is also well-known because it is less than 1 km long but has more than 130 Internet cafés, making it number one in the world in Internet cafés bydensity[citation needed]."
There is no mention of the Irbid refugee camp in this article. Is the template for Palestinian refugee camps appropriate here? Or should it just be appended at theIrbid camp article, if such an article is ever written? --20:35, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
