This is a list of definitions about the term invagination. I think it should be moved at the Wictionary. --Bestiasonica (talk)19:42, 2 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested Addition

[edit]

A section describing some known examples of invagination among developing cells might be a good addition. One known instance of invagination, the blastopore "bottle cells" that form during the gastrulation process in amphibians, is a good example.[1] [Developmental Biology Scott F. Gilbert (2014) p 245. [Sinauer Associates, Inc. Sunderland, MA] ISBN = 978-0-87893-978-0] < added "ordinary text" version of reference infoJimw338 (talk)07:52, 30 November 2013 (UTC) >[reply]

Hope this might serve to develop the page.Slj758 (talk)01:57, 4 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for sharing! This item was added to the list by now, correct? Another cell biology-related addition, I guess is similar to the mitochondria one already up, is that gram-negative bacteria tend to have invaginations in their inner membrane that form structures that look similar to cristae in mitochondria, but also serve to somewhat compartmentalize biochemical pathways. These bacterial invaginations eventually led to organelles as eukaryotic cells evolved.71.181.46.21 (talk)07:10, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Literary concept?

[edit]

How exactly does invagination qualify as a literary concept? The article itself makes no mention of it being such, but the article is inCategory:Literary concepts anyway.Legocityfan119 (talk)04:15, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It has been several years. That link is presently diambiguated toInvagination (philosophy). This discussion can most likley be removed.2400:4152:7064:6B00:6E6A:77FF:FE9E:6461 (talk)12:18, 27 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Grammatical mistake in header paragraph.

[edit]

This sentence lacks a verb:

"The difference between the production of the tube formed in the cytoskeleton and extracellular matrix."
