Untitled

[edit]

Someone should insert two pictures to this article; one of her as a queen, of course, but also one of her as a duchess.

Hello,
I added one of them, but, in my opinion, the other is of low quality. There should be a better one around.
/Mats Halldin (talk)20:18, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That is a very good picture, thank you for inserting it. Indeed, it is almost more important with a picture of her as a Duchess, as that was the period of her life when she had the largest importance.

YIKES!

[edit]

Can someone who speaks English and is interested in this subject do a re-write, please? The grammar and syntax are HORRIBLE!!—Precedingunsigned comment added by65.69.81.2 (talk)17:16, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Picture

[edit]

I have a very old chocolate mug with the picture of a lady who resenbles Hedvig Elisabeth. I don't know if it is her or not but the legend is that it is a family heirloom and came over on the boat with my family members from Sweden in the mid-1800's. There is no marking on the mug but the lady resembles the Roslin picture; however, she is wearing clothing like Marie Antoinette wore in her rustic period. Does anyone out there have anything similar or any thoughts?—Precedingunsigned comment added byNfkingston (talkcontribs)20:07, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting indeed! Please e-mail me a photo of it!SergeWoodzing (talk)23:23, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Duchess of Oldenburg

[edit]

Was she ever Duchess of Oldenburg? Her father became sovereign Duke of Oldenburg in 1774.--Queen Elizabeth II's Little Spy (talk)19:17, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not to my knowledge. Her position as Princess of Sweden and Duchess of Sudermania as of that same year may have made the question moot.SergeWoodzing (talk)20:25, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hedvig Elisabeth Charlottas Dagbok - non-ISBN id identified?

[edit]

Hedvig Elisabeth Charlottas Dagbok is used as a reference on about 55 pages. Until recently, most of these pages had ISBN errors due to use of unknown non-ISBN IDs in the ISBN. The ISBN errors have now been fixed by various editors, either by moving the unknown IDs to the ID field or by deleting the ID. I recently noticed that the unknown ID numbers appear as part of thesignature marks. I posted some more information about this in a central location (Help talk:Citation Style 1/Archive 5#Hedvig Elisabeth Charlottas Dagbok - non-ISBN id identified?) in case this affects any opinions about whether these numbers should be retained and/or how they should be documented. I'm posting similar messages to this one on the talk pages of a few other higher-traffic articles that use this reference to give any watchers a chance to participate in any discussion there. I will be watching the central page but not this one.TuxLibNit (talk)20:32, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The painting

[edit]

The painting by Breda was made in 1814 and not in 1809. I've corrected the mistake.Source:https://collection.nationalmuseum.se/sv/collection/item/15312/185.172.79.221 (talk)12:01, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
