is this a real thing? the best guess i have for 'gai' is chicken in cantonese. being malaysian, i know an equivalent. see:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_riceElej (talk)08:28, 8 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

nvm, just saw the chinese page that this article is based off, 'gai' is cover. it's the chinese variation of the same thing. someone might want to write it out fully, or else merge it with the above page.Elej (talk)08:33, 8 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I didn't know the name ofEconomy rice but I've tasted before. :) You are right I think they are in the same type. But there are some small differences: economy rice is mainly cooked before while gaifan is often newly cooked; economy rice can be ordered different dishes while gaifan can only be covered by one dish obviously. Actually, economy rice can be easily found in China but seldom called gaifan avoiding confuse. --WWbreadOpen Your Mouth?09:14, 8 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
