Hi all, I changed the section name "cultural factors" to "pop culture examples" because I thought that it better represents the section. I'm also wondering whether that section is necessary since it is one of the longest sections - we could shorten it! I also changed the section name "lack" to "absence" because it sounded smoother, but please let me know if you think "lack" is a better representation of the section! I also added 2 paragraphs under that section using information that I found from a literature review, feel free to let me know if there's anything you would like to change! I also added a section "In Psychoanalytic Theory", again, feel free to let me know if there's anything you would like to change! Lastly, I added an image, let me know what you guys think!Littlebearshehe (talk)00:36, 18 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
An older woman who takes on a parental role for a child she didn't make is by definition a father figure due to how the way women form bonds with non-biological children and how those bonds work and are maintained being an example of the father-child bond rather than the mother-child one. Mother-child bond = gestation and birth. Father-child bond = teaching and guiding. Mother figures don't exist.208.30.108.183 (talk)14:34, 22 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
