Seems like a relatively quick one. Will review.IAWW (talk)16:36, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Lead is good and an appropriate size for a short article like this.
What is the "MIT Outing Club" and why is it notable enough for inclusion?IAWW (talk)16:36, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Gilbertson said that climbing Pobeda was more difficult than climbing K2 without supplementary oxygen: Did he climb Pobeda with or without supplementary oxygen? That should be clearer.IAWW (talk)16:36, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
He discovered that the summit of Mount Saint Helens has been eroding at a rate of 4 inches (100 mm) annually since 1989, and had lost so much elevation it was no longer one of the 100 highest peaks in Washington:WP:CINS error. Earwig finds nothing. I found no issues on the spot check.
Seems to include pretty much all the information available
It's quite new and I read the two previous deletion discussions. It seems that this page is now notable though, as several new sources mention him, including two which have his name in the title. I don't see any reason to suspect this won't be stable post GA review.
No images unfortunately
Suggest archiving non-dead links to preventlink rot. It's a tedious task, but in a year or two, some of the links will almost certainly be dead. Also it means people outside the US (like me!) will be able to access [14] and [17].IAWW (talk)16:36, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The first sentence I think would be a bit better if his most notable activities (mountain climbing and surveying) were mentioned first, before his other positions.IAWW (talk)16:36, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
