Eimskipafélag Íslands →Eimskip – PerWP:COMMONNAME.ArniDagur (talk)01:34, 7 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- The company's official, full name, apparently, is stillEimskipafélag Íslands ("Steam Ship Company of Iceland"), and you can see it in the bottom left corner of their website. However, they obviously trade by the short formEimskip and are well-known under that name, so I understand the move request. Still, I'm not quite sure regarding company structure and whether two articles (as in German Wikipedia) might be warranted, see below.Gestumblindi (talk)22:28, 7 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- @ArniDagur: I'm not sure. In German-language Wikipedia, there are two articles:de:Hf. Eimskipafélag Íslands (formerly Avion Group), an investment company founded in 2005, and the traditional shipping companyde:Eimskip (Eimskip Ehf.), which is owned by the aforementioned company and where the investment company took its new name from. Is that (still) correct? However, the articles in German WP seem quite outdated.Gestumblindi (talk)22:04, 7 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- I'm not too familiar with the company structure, but the article seems to be about the shipping company, and the shipping company is definitely known by the name Eimskip, atleast here in Iceland.ArniDagur (talk)16:15, 8 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
