Interesting  times. BP got their start in Persia back in Imperial times. And got in trouble with local politics, and in conflict with Russia. An American envoy was a helpful neutral party. All of this in the late 19th C., If memory serves. Pete Tillman (talk)16:27, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
