Article title change suggestion

[edit]

Shouldn't this article title change from the current title toAvatar: The Last Airbender (2005 TV series)? Just likeOne Piece (1999 TV series).98𝚃𝙸𝙶𝙴𝚁𝙸𝚄𝚂19:03, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Avatar: The Last AirbenderAvatar: The Last Airbender (animated series) – Both the animated series and the live action of 2024 are seeing very similar amounts of page views. This is despite the google search immediately taking you to this page, rather than the live action. 2 weeks ago both received around 150k views at their peak and both are now averaging around 25k. I think it would make more sense just to clarify that this is the animated series to make it easier for people to find the live action. Furthermore as the live action has now been renewed for both seasons 2 and 3, this will not be short lived problem, so it makes sense to fix it now, rather than down the line.Jasp7676 (talk)23:39, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose as proposed. "Animated Series" is not one of the options outlined inWP:NCTV. If disambiguation is needed, use the year -Avatar: The Last Airbender (2005 TV series), similar to howAvatar: The Last Airbender (2024 TV series) does.Gonnym (talk)07:18, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Side note: I think makingAvatar: The Last Airbender (franchise) the main topic would make sense though.soetermans.↑↑↓↓←→←→ B ATALK16:04, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'dSupport franchise at base name, and DAB the shows by year.--Ortizesp (talk)13:57, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose perwp:PT2 andwp:Recentisimblindlynx14:19, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose strongly. Besides, calling it animated series in the title would NOT be in-line with Wikipedia rules, as other commenters have pointed out. Whereas, the above suggestion of a date change (in a discussion topic earlier on this talk page) by @User talk:98Tigerius would be in-line with Wikipedia rules. Also, the original series has a legacy and influence. The new series does not.Historyday01 (talk)00:09, 23 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Energy in Avatar: The Last Airbender

[edit]

Hello there. What's the name of the energy to bend the elements of the series. For example: in Dragon Ball is Ki. Please reply! Thanks!186.124.137.27 (talk)02:35, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

When Uncle Iroh explains lightning bending to Zuko, he refers to it as 'Chi' as seen in the subtitles.92.16.232.163 (talk)00:17, 21 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If you let the energy in your own body flow, the lightning will follow it. You must create a pathway from your fingertips, up your arm to your shoulder, then down into your stomach. The stomach is the source of energy in your body. It is called the sea ofchi. Only in my case it is more like a vast ocean. [Laughs.] From the stomach, you direct it up again, and out the other arm. The stomach detour is critical. You must not let the lightning pass through your heart, or the damage could be deadly. You may wish to try a physical motion, to get a feel for the pathways' flow, like this. [The two begin to practice the redirection motion.] Now, are you focusing your energy? Can you feel your ownchi flowing in, down, up, and out? - Avatar: The Last Airbender - Book 2: Bitter Works92.16.232.163 (talk)00:25, 21 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
