Verification needed

i have removed:

  • Mark Antony is defeated in battle by consul Hirtius in the Battle of Mutina.

Nothing of this is mentioned on ourMark Antony article. Can anyone confirm this?Kingturtle17:33, 1 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

John Negroponte appointment is notable?

[edit]

I propose to remove this entry: "2005 - John Negroponte becomes the first United States Director of National Intelligence." I recognize that this is an important position but I don't think someone assuming the job is important enough to warrant inclusion here. Thoughts? Thanks,Hu Gadarn

I agree. If this group ends up making some major historical contribution to history thanks to John's contributions, we might want to revist this. See ya in twenty years...Rklawton18:05, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Not notable in my opinion either. Yet another government department with little global impact at this time in history. --Borameer13:56, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I have now removed the entry.Hu Gadarn18:00, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bicycle Day

[edit]

I removed this as the day is incorrect per the articlehistory of LSD and this is, in any event notnotable.Argos'Dad19:34, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Durr, I'm an idiot. It's the 19th, not 21st. My apologies. Though, I would argue the notability bit...Blackbox19:26, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Princess?

[edit]

Why is Princess Hamburger of MacDonald's not listed? Quite notable, I think. Her parents, Queen Cheeseburger and King Cola, are listed on their birthdays. Please add Princess Hamburger!— Precedingunsigned comment added by95.58.116.184 (talk)14:29, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Error?

[edit]

On the bottom of the page, it says "Today" and sites the date as March 22, 2017, but actually it is March 26, 2017— Precedingunsigned comment added by64.228.186.70 (talk)05:40, 26 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup of births and deaths

[edit]

In accordance with the guidelines, I'm continuing to weed the Births and Deaths sections by removing entries for celebrities with 0-4 articles in other languages. Where possible, these have been transferred to the relevant Year in Topic articles. As well as making the lists more manageable, this will help with the globalization effort.Deb (talk)09:11, 16 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Holidays and observances

[edit]

I think this should be moved to the top. Celebratioins on the 111th day of the year often pre-date the dates.Bosley John Bosley (talk)15:56, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The 111th day of the year is encompassed by theSpring paschal moveable feast and/or preparations for Christian'sEaster.
